Dr. Zakir Naik Delivers Public Lecture At University Of Muhamadiyah Yogyakarta

 

Yogyakarta, 10 Rajab 1438/7April 2017 (MINA) – Islamic preacher from India Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik has given an encouragement to the Indonesian Muslims, especially members of religious organization Muhammadiyah, to unite so that they go forward with applying the Islamic teachings contained in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

In his lecture at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Monday (3/4) DR Zakir Naik said he was very happy to meet Muslims in Indonesia.

As mentioned earlier on the preaching missions in Indonesia and he prayed Indonesia to become a state based on the Koran and the Sunnah.

On the occasion, UMY is playing a video profile of Yogyakarta province and UMY also provide a plaque of appreciation to Zakir.

According to the public relations section of Zakir NaikVisit 2017 Committee, Budhi Setiawan Dr Zakir Naik was from Mumbai, India and arrived in Yogyakarta on Sunday night (2/4) and has met with a number of educators in the university.

With the theme “Welcoming Dinner”, Chairman of the Executive Committee in St. Louis Professor Syamsul Anwar welcomed the presence Zakir Naik who delivered a speech on “Religion as Agents of Mercy and Peace”. (L/R04/RS5)
