CALLS TO KICK ISRAELI KNESSET OUT OF INTER-PARLIAMENTARY UNION

Ramallah, 8 Muharram 1437/21 October 2015 (MINA) – The Change and Reform Bloc at the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) expressed on Tuesday its appreciation of the calls launched by the Chairman of Kuwait’s National Assembly to expel Israel from the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The Change and Reform Bloc called on all Arab and Islamic parliaments to back up the Kuwaiti move in support for the Palestinian people and to pressure their governments to kick out Israeli ambassadors, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) reporting.

Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim urged more than 145 parliaments, during the 133rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, to expel the Israeli Knesset from IPU.

“Crimes of unspeakable cruelty are being committed by the Israeli occupation forces every day and aired on TV,” he said, affirming the Arab parliaments’ support for Kuwait’s National Assembly towards this move.(T/P008/R03)
