Bogor, MINA – Muhammad Anshorullah, Chairman of the Presidium of the Aqsa Working Group (AWG), stated that the long struggle to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine has entered its 20th year since the declaration of Ghazwah Fath Al-Aqsha (GFA).
“We have carried out the mandate of Ghazwah Fath Al-Aqsha (GFA). It has now been 20 years since it was first proclaimed here,” Anshorullah said during the Ta’lim Akhir Sya’ban 1447 H of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) at At-Taqwa Mosque, Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School Complex, Cileungsi, Bogor, on Sunday.
He recalled that on 24 Sha’ban 1427 H, or September 17, 2006, the late Imaamul Muslimin H. Muhyiddin Hamidy read out the Maklumat Ghazwah Al-Aqsha, which was later refined into Ghazwah Fath Al-Aqsha (GFA), the war for the liberation of Al-Aqsa.
The proclamation affirmed that Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the Muslim ummah and must be defended, and warned Zionist Israel to immediately leave the area of Islam’s first qibla.

“Alhamdulillah, I would like to convey congratulations to all those who have remained consistent and steadfast in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque within the jama’ah and its Imam to this day, after 20 years. And God willing, until Al-Quds is liberated, until Palestine is liberated, we will continue to stand firm,” he stressed.
Despite the struggle having lasted for two decades, Anshorullah noted that global attention toward Gaza and Palestine has begun to decline following the adoption of a United Nations resolution in November 2025. Meanwhile, Israel continues to carry out military attacks on Gaza that have killed more than 200 Palestinians and committed more than 2,500 ceasefire violations.
“Therefore, if there are people or reports saying that Gaza is already fine, that is not true,” he emphasized.
He added that Israeli forces still control 50 percent of the Gaza Strip, and humanitarian aid remains very difficult to enter. The situation in Gaza is considered far from hopeful.
