Palestine’s Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative at the Arab League Jamal Shobaki said the meeting, which comes after a previous consultation meeting, will discuss a draft resolution to be submitted to the Security Council in the coming days in order to adopt a UN resolution denouncing the settlements and stressing the need for their cessation as well as demanding an end to the Israeli occupation within a defined timetable to bring about the two-state solution, IINA News reported.
Ambassador Shobaki expressed his confidence that the decision would get the required majority vote of nine members, while ensuring that the right of vote is not used, especially by the United States.(T/P008/R07)
