ABU MARZOUK CALLS ON LEBANON TO SUPPORT PALESTINIAN INTIFADA

Beirut, 16 Muharram 1437/29 October 2015 (MINA) – Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk met with Lebanese premier Tammam Salam on Wednesday in Beirut and urged him to support al-Quds intifada (uprising) against the occupation.

Abu Marzouk highlighted during the meeting the Palestinian intifada redirected the compass of the Muslim and Arab nations to Jerusalem and Palestine, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

He stressed the importance of recognizing the civil and humanitarian rights of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and completing the reconstruction of Nahr al-Bared refugee camp in the country.

The Hamas official reiterated his Movement’s support for the unity and stability of Lebanon and its keenness on strengthening the relations between the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

For his part, premier Salam confirmed his country’s support for the Palestinian cause as the Arab nation’s central issue and stressed the importance of ending the Palestinian differences and protecting the popular intifada against the occupation.(T/P008/R03)
