Quoting the local police sources, Indo Asian News Agency said that 44 Rashtriya Rifles personnel came under attack from militants while returning from a search operation in Kungnoo village, killing three soldiers and injuring seven others.
In the subsequent gunfight, a civilian woman was also killed.
The police added that the authorities sent reinforcements to the region to surround the area and track the militants down.
