Jakarta, MINA – Today’s football schedule: The Indonesian senior national team will face Mozambique in FIFA Matchday 2026 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on Tuesday.

Previously, Rizky Ridho and his teammates defeated Oman 3-0. This time, Indonesia will play their second FIFA Matchday match this month. Mozambique, an African powerhouse, will be a benchmark for the Indonesian national team’s ability to compete on the international stage.

Unlike Oman, Mozambique is an unusual opponent. Since Indonesia’s emergence on the world stage, the Garuda squad has never faced Mozambique. Not only at the senior level, but also at the junior level.

According to Tivie.id, this match will be broadcast live on Indosiar and SCTV on Tuesday (June 9th) at 7:00 PM WIB. The match can also be watched via live streaming service Vidio.

Indonesia has played 32 matches, both in official competitions and friendlies, against African teams. However, statistics show that the Indonesian national team often struggles to cope with the physical strength of African players.

The Garuda squad has so far only managed 11 wins and six draws. Meanwhile, the remaining 15 matches have ended in bitter defeats for Indonesia.

“Regarding Mozambique, they are an African nation with a very specific, transitional and fast-paced playing style,” said Indonesian coach Herdman on Monday (June 8).

Meanwhile, Mozambique national team coach Chiquinho Conde admitted he is fully aware of the Garuda squad’s significant strengths.
