Jakarta, 11 Muharam 1436/4 November 2014 (MINA) – The Indonesia Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) said the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has provided assistances to the people of Indonesia.

He said it when welcoming the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al Madani, Tuesday, accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Bambang Brojonegoro and the Chairman of the Financial Services Authority Commissioner Board , Muliaman Hadad.

“We thank to IDB that has helped Indonesia. Beside banking, IDB also helped social activities such as giving aid to 6,000 orphans in Aceh. Most of them are the victims of tsunami, “said JK.

According to JK, both have ever met after JK performed pilgrimage in 2013. They discussed about problems of humanity.

Meanwhile, Ali Al Madani said the purpose of his visit was to give congratulations to JK who was re-elected to be the Indonesia vice president for twice.

In addition, Al Madani also revealed that he planned to build the representative in Jakarta. “We will open a new office in Jakarta. IDB Office will soon operate when its administration is completed, “said Al Madani.
