
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro receives Palestinian FM Riyad Al-Malki.
Caracas, MINA – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Friday affirmed that his country recognizes Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the state of Palestine, WAFA reported.
This came during a meeting between Maduro and Palestinian Prime Minister Rami al-Hamdallah, who was on a two-day official visit to Caracas, Venezuela’s capital.
Maduro reiterated his country’s position in support of the Palestinian leadership and people against US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
The Venezuelan president denounced the recent US policies toward Jerusalem, stressing that his country and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which is currently chaired by Venezuela, stand with the Palestinian leadership and people at all levels.

They further discussed means to build on the bilateral relations and to encourage the private sector, development and economic cooperation between the two countries. (T/RS5/RS1)
