The Largest Halal Industry Exhibition to Held in Jakarta

Jakarta, MINA – The collaboration between Muslim Lifestyle Festival and Islamic Tourism Expo will hold the biggest Indonesian Sharia and Halal Industry Exhibition for the first time in Jakarta.

PT Lima Armada Utama (LIMA Events) and AMK Events will collaborate to hold an exhibition of sharia and halal industries titled 2019 Muslim Lifestyle Festival and 2019 Islamic Tourism Expo.

“This event can be used as a momentum to further encourage the development of Islamic and halal industries in the country, “said Director of Five Fleet Urama, Lia Indriasari, at the JCC on Wednesday.

The exhibition was held to welcome the 1441 Hijri Islamic new year and will be held on 30 August to 1 September 2019 in Assembly, Plenary, Paradise, Main Lobby, and Lower Lobby Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta.

With the theme “Integration of Islamic Lifestyle”, this event was presented as a tangible manifestation of the organizers in encouraging the growth and development of the sharia industry in developing Indonesia. This is in line with the rise of halal products from various domestic industrial sectors.

The growth of the halal industry in Indonesia is increasing every year. This is supported by several factors, including the population of the Indonesian. 2017 Global Islamic Economy (GIE) revealed that the Islamic and halal industries globally are projected to be worth 3.081 billion dollars in 2022.

Meanwhile, Indonesia with a total population of 261 million with a GDP of 1015.54 billion US dollars in 2017 and 87.2 percent of its citizens are Muslims that making Indonesia a home for 12.7 percent of the world’s Muslims.

Furthermore, from the six sharia and halal industry sectors, Indonesia is one of the top 10 countries with superior sharia industries, namely Islamic finance, halal travel, and halal cosmetics & pharmaceutical.
