Suicide Attack on Minibus Kills 14 People in Kabul

Islamabad, 14 Ramadan 1437/20 June 2016 (MINA) — At least 14 people were killed and around 23 others wounded in a suicide attack targeting a minibus in Kabul, said an official Monday.

Afghan Interior Minister Spokesman, Sediq Sediqqi said that the police were working to identify the victims.

The initial police report said that the explosion took place early morning in Pul-e-Charkhil area in Kabul after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the bus.

Police and emergency service vehicles rushed to the scene of the incident, KUNA was quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

According to media reports, Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Chief Executive of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah in a statement condemned the attack on those traveling to their work places terming it act of terror and intimidation. (T/R07/R01)
