Jakarta, 2 Shaban 1436/20 May 2015 (MINA) – Indonesia’s economic growth in the first quarter of 2015, which only reached 4.71%, considered to be a momentum for the revival of Native Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association (Hippi).

Head of Hippi Trade Board, Hardini Puspasari  said the improvement of quality product and industrial competitiveness generated by Hippi as as an opportunity and a challenge. “Hippi can play an active part to support  national economy by setting up of local products to export quality level,” she explained.

Indonesia government is now accelerating infrastructure sector program.  So,preparing the components for the local government is one of the important part to support the program. InfoPublik quoted by by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

She considered, the contribution of household spending became a major proponent of national economic growth. So, it must be addressed wisely by all parties.

The special opportunity for Hippi is to supply household expenditure with good quality. Thus, the domestic market in Indonesia can be fulfilled optimally.

“Just imagine, with the Indonesian population of about 250 million, meaning that Hippi will never lose the market. It’s a momentum for the revival,” she said.

She said, So far, Hippi members are vry much depend on the government projects. Yet, the fact, until the first quarter of 2015, the government targets to boost spending was not realized.

The government led by the president, Joko Widodo (known as Jokowi), began its term promisingly, carrying out an overhaul of Indonesia’s costly fuel-subsidy regime. However, government effectiveness is threatened by internal differences stemming from Jokowi’s shaky political authority.

Data released on May 5th showed that real GDP growth eased to 4.7% year on year in Q1, amid weak external commodities demand. We will revise down our forecast for 5.2% expansion in 2015 as a whole in response. (T/P008/R03)
