Beirut, MINA – Chairman of the International Union of Palestinian Defense of Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hammoud said any conspiracy that weakens Muslims would be devastated, just as the Balfour Declaration would not be able to undermine the defense of the Palestinians.

This was stated in the opening of the 2nd international conference of Palestinian Defense of Scholars, on Wednesday (1/11) at UNESCO Building, Beirut, Lebanon. MINA reporters reported directly from Beirut.

The conference with the theme “Palestine Between Balfour Declaration and God’s Promise” aims to bring together religious leaders and scholars of the world to strengthen the ranks in providing a true understanding of Palestine and assuring that Israel can only be resisted by resistance and struggle.

“Israel will be destroyed, it is clearly a principle of anyone, because it is God’s promise contained in the Qur’an, Torah, Gospel, even in Jewish faith,” Maher said in his speech.

Maher insists, in two decades Muslims can observe and learn from victory triumphs in war against Israel like Hezbollah in Lebanon and the rise of the Intifada in Palestine.

Maher regretted that there are still some Arab countries secretly and openly cooperating with Israel. It remains the Ulama’s greatest challenge to remind the people and government to break all forms of relations with Israel.

Maher further said, Muslims have lost much power because of the many conspiracy Zionists who managed to divide unity and the principle of Islamic unity. Therefore, from all disputes that occur, Palestine can unite this division.
