Selling Anker Beer Shares, Jakarta Regional Govt Can Reach IDR 1 Trillion

Jakarta, MINA – The Jakarta Provincial government which is currently led by Anies Baswedan in the next March 2019 plan to release the shares of PT DLTA Djakarta which produces Anker-branded beer.

This plan is one of the campaign promises of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his deputy, Sandiaga Uno at that time.

How much funding will the DKI Provincial Government get if DLTA shares are sold today?

Quoting RTI’s trade data, DLTA’s shares are traded at Rp.5,500 per share. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government currently holds 186,856,000 million shares, equivalent to 23.3%. While the rest is held by San Miguel Malaysia Pte as much as 58.3% and the public 18.3%.

With these assumptions, if Anies sells share ownership at today’s trading price, the amount of funds that can be obtained from the sale of shares reach Rp 1,027,653,000,000, or Rp 1 trillion if rounded off.

PT DLTA Djakarta has been on the stock market since February 27, 1984. So far, DLTA-coded issuers routinely deposit dividends that are large enough to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. (TL/P2)
