Schools in West Java Apply Disaster Response Curriculum

Karawang, MINA – West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said the disaster response curriculum is implementing in all schools starting from Kindergarten to Senior High School in West Java, Friday.

According to Kamil, Kharisma Darussalam School in Karawang District applies this curriculum as part of the West Java Resilience Culture Blueprint.

“So that students and their families understand how to respond in the seconds and critical minutes when an earthquake, earth, flood or fire occurs,” he said in his Instagram.

According to him, the number of victims fell during the disaster because of the lack of knowledge about disaster response. This reflects on the tsunami disaster in Aceh which caused many deaths.
