REPORT: 11 IOF VIOLATIONS AGAINST JOURNALISTS IN OCTOBER

         Ramallah, 1 Muharram 1435/5 November 2013 (MINA) –  A human rights report said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violated rights of journalists on 11 occasions during the past month of October.

        The Palestinian youth media rally said in a report on Sunday that IOF soldiers escalated their assaults on Palestinian journalists and cameramen in the past month with the number of violations reaching 11.

        It said that the journalists were assaulted while covering events in the West Bank and Jerusalem, Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

        The rally said that the most serious violation was the injury of a reporter in addition to the detention of three journalists.

        The rally asked the world community to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities into halting attacks on journalists and to stop violating international laws that protect journalists at work.

            Not only journalists, the Israeli army  continuing its violence against Palestinians, including children, women and elderly people in the occupied Palestinian territories  such as West Bank and Jerusalem.

           The daily violence also carried out by the illegal settlers  who is now settle the Palestinian territories, media reported. (T/P03/E1)
