PALESTINIAN CLERIC GIVES INAUGURAL AL- QURAN ONLINE LECTURE IN SQABM

Jakarta , 23 Rabiul Akhir 1435/23 February 2014 (MINA) – A Palestinian cleric Shaikh Dr. Abdurrahman Yusuf Al – Jamal gave an inaugural online lecture in Shuffah al-Qur’an Abdullah bin Mas’ud online course (SQABM), Saturday.

Al – Jamal gave the course directly from the Gaza Strip via internet connection. “Reciting and understanding the meaning of al-Qur’an is the duty of every Muslim, ” said Al – Jamal who is the director of Institute Ma’had Tahfidz al-Qur’anul Karim al – Sunnah, Gaza.

The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said in a hadith: “If a Muslim like to recite, memorize and practice the Quran, then he will be included in the family of the Almighty Allah”. In his explanation, al – Jamal explained, the family of Allah means that the person always get the guidance, help and blessings of Allah.

“Families of the Almighty Allah are those who always be straightened and reminded when he deviate from the true path,” said Al – Jamal, who is also the deputy of Palestinian speaker in Gaza Strip.

The cleric fully supported the existence of SQABM course which is initiated by Indonesian Al Fatah foundation. Al-Jamal’s Institute Ma’had Tahfidz al-Qur’anul Karim al – Sunnah, Gazahas successfully graduated thousands of boys and girls in Gaza who could memorize 30 chapters oh al Qur’an.

The inaugural online lecture was followed by student who took part in the Long Distance Qur’an Learning Community (Komjaraq). They are from various places, such as Lampung, Bogor , Jakarta , Medan , Malaysia, and so on. The curriculum in the first semester includes Tahsin Al – Quran, Tajweed Practical, Sciences of the Quran and Al – Hadith,Tafsir (interpretation),Tahfidz (memoration), Arabic Language, and other supporting subjects.

The lectures at the SQABM are the best competent experts in their fields from various countries. They are from Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Malaysia, and home country, Indonesia. ( L/R1/PO4/E01).
