Palestinian Boy Killed By IOF Gunfire In Refugee Camp

Al-Khalil, 2 Jumadil Awwal 1437/10 February 2016 (MINA) – A 16-year-old Palestinian boy was killed by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in al-Aroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil at noon Wednesday.

The Palestinian health ministry said that the boy, Omar Yousef Jawabra, was fatally shot during confrontations with the IOF soldiers in the refugee camp this morning, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The boy was hit by an IOF bullet in his stomach that went out of his back, and he succumbed to his wounds in hospital.

The Palestinian Red Crescent society said that its ambulance crews managed to evacuate the boy to hospital in al-Khalil city after several delays at IOF barriers, but attempts to save his life went in vain.

The Palestinian victims killed at the hands of the IOF in the ongoing Jerusalem Intidada thus rose to 174 while 16,000 others were injured in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Occupied Jerusalem.(T/P008/R03)
