Palestine Urges International Community to Face Al-Aqsa Desecration

Ramallah, 19 Dzulqa’dah 1437/22 August 2016  (MINA) – The Palestinian government urged international community for immediate interference to face the Israeli desecration to the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque that has been going on since 1967.

Spokesperson of the Palestinian government Yousef Al-Mahmoud said in a statement on the 47th anniversary for burning Al-Aqsa Mosque that strong measures and actions should be taken to face the Israeli escalation in the mosque.

“Absence of firm stances on part of the world will lead to desecrations against the holy mosque, along the violations that threaten us, where a full-scale Israeli war is waged against Jerusalem and the sanctities,” KUNA quoted Al-Mahmoud as saying.

Jerusalem is now witnessing re-occupation of the mosque with force, in measures reminiscent to those that have been taken at the military and Judaization levels.

Israeli police Sunday intensified what it called security measures in the Old City of Jerusalem as this day marks the 47th anniversary of Al-Aqsa Mosque arson at the hands of an Australian man who studied Torah and wanted to build a new temple.(T/R07/R01)
