Kalla Visits Argentina to Attend G20 Summit

 

Jakarta, MINA — Vice President M Jusuf Kalla and entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, here, Wednesday, for Argentina to attend the 2018 G20 Leaders` Summit, Antara News reported.

Members of Kalla`s entourage include his spouse, Mufidah Kalla, Empowerment of State Apparatus and Reform Minister Syafruddin, and Communication and Informatics Minister Rudiantara.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kalla said during the Summit Indonesia will push for global economic policy to prevent a war trade between the US and China.

Common efforts are crucial to prevent trade war between the US and China because the trade war could affect the world`s largest economies.

The 2018 meeting of the G20 Leaders` Summit will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Nov 30 to Dec 1.

Argentina has selected the theme `Building consensus for fair and sustainable development` for the 2018 G20 Leaders` Summit, and has identified three key issues for the agenda: the future of work, infrastructure for development, and a sustainable food future.

The Group of Twenty (G20) is a leading forum of the world`s major economies that seeks to develop global policies to address today`s most pressing challenges.

The G20 is made up of 19 countries and the European Union. The 19 countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. . (T//RS5’RS1)
