ZIONIST SETTLERS STORMED AL AQSA, AGAIN

    Al-Quds, 28 Muharram 1435/1 Desember 2013 (MINA) – Clashes have flared up on Sunday between Palestinian students and Israeli forces inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

    “The Israeli forces are using gas bombs against the prayers and the students,” Al-Aqsa guard Othman Abu Gharbiye, Anadolu Agency quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

    “There are several cases of suffocation among the Palestinians,” he added.

   Clashes erupted after a dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa compound and preformed Talmudic rituals inside.

   “Around 50 settlers stormed (al-Haram al-Sharif) early this morning under the Israeli police and special forces protection,” Abu Gharbiye confirmed.

   In recent weeks, groups of Jewish settlers – often accompanied by Israeli security forces – have repeatedly entered the Aqsa Mosque complex.

   Head of the International Union for Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi called on the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to unite in order to resist the Israeli occupation conspiracies and unjust practices against al-Aqsa.

    He explained, “after occupying Palestine, the Jews wanted to control al-Aqsa, ALRAY reports.

   Several Jewish extremist groups have appealed to their followers to break into the Aqsa compound on Thursday in large numbers to mark the arrival of the Jewish Hanukkah (Festival of Lights) holidays.

   The frequent violations anger Palestinian Muslims and occasionally lead to violent clashes inside the mosque compound.

    Al-Aqsa is the third holiest shrine in Islam.

    Jews refer to Al-Aqsa as the “Temple Mount,” claiming the area was the site of two prominent Jewish temples in ancient times. (T/P09/P04).
