ISRAELI OCCUPATION INSTALLS SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS INSIDE AL-AQSA MOSQUE

Jerusalem, 8 Shafar 1435/11 December 2013 (MINA) – Israeli occupation installed surveillance cameras inside al-Aqsa mosque, specifically on the roof of a building controlled illegally by the Israeli police at the northern part of the Dome of the Rock, according to al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage.

The foundation considered this measure as a dangerous step, stressing on the necessity of removing these cameras covered by Plastic containers (according to what witnesses reported). ALRAY reported as quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Tuesday (10/12).

It said, “Two of three cameras were installed at the eastern and western parts of the Dome of the Rock mosque  beside the women prayer room, so this is serious as the occupation will monitor the women’s movement.”

“The third one was installed towards Bab Faisal to cover all the northern area of al-Aqsa mosque, “it said.

Israeli occupation increased its brutal crimes against al-Aqsa and all the religious places in Jerusalem. By this Israel turns a deaf ear to the international law which prohibits attacking religious sites. (T/P012/E1)
