ISRAELI GUNBOATS SHELL GAZA SHORES

        Gaza, 17 Shafar 1435/20 December 2013 (MINA) – Israeli navy gunboats fired a number of shells at the shores of Gaza city at a late night hour on Wednesday.

        Field sources said that the Israeli gunboats, which are permanently present off the Gaza shores, ALQASSAM reported as quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

        fired four projectiles to the northwest of Gaza beach, but did not cause any casualties or damage.

        The shelling is the latest in a series of Israeli breaches of the calm agreement, concluded between Palestinian factions in Gaza and the Israeli occupation authority under Egyptian sponsorship in November last year,

        That resulted in killing 11 Palestinians and injuring dozens others.

Israeli Forces Kill A Palestinian, Injure 7 In Jenin

        Meanwhile in Jenin, seven Palestinians were injured, and one shot dead, by a unit of of Israeli commandos at about 8:30 pm, Wednesday evening, the Milad News Agency has reported.

       Local sources in Jenin said that a so-called “undercover” unit surrounded the house of captive Hamas leader Jamal Abu Al-Hija, but that the people soon discovered it, upon which violent clashes broke out with the occupation forces.

         Seven people were injured and one killed with live ammunition.

         The sources stated that the clashes lasted for hours, adding that large forces descended upon many homes, detaining nearly 200 citizens at the headquarters of the sports center in the camp.

         The young man who was killed during the initial clashes reportedly died of his wounds while being moved to a hospital and has been identified as Nafa Jamil Saadi, 22.

Another Palestinian youth killed at the hands of Israeli special units

         In Qalqilia, West Bank, a special Israeli army unit killed a Palestinian young man in Qalqilia city at dawn Thursday, the second to be killed at the hands of the occupation forces within few hours.

       Palestinian sources in Qalqilia city said that 24-year-old Saleh Yassin, who works for the PA intelligence apparatus, was gunned down at the eastern entrance of the city.

        They said that Israeli occupation forces ambushed the youth and gunned him down, adding that he was hit with multiple bullets.

       The IOF claimed that a pistol was found near the body of Yassin.

       The murder follows another IOF cold-blooded murder of Nafe Saadi, 23, in Jenin refugee camp, who was shot at point-blank on Wednesday night.
