Washington, MINA – Defense and intelligence officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia are conducting back-to-back visits to the United States this week to discuss Iran amid an increased US military presence in the region, Axios reported Thursday.
General Shlomi Binder, Head of Israeli Military Intelligence, held a series of high-level consultations on Tuesday and Wednesday with top leadership at the Pentagon, the CIA, and the White House, according to two American officials.
The General’s visit was reportedly centered on delivering specific intelligence requested by the Trump administration, including data regarding potential strike targets within Iran.
In contrast, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman is expected to emphasize diplomatic avenues during meetings on Thursday and Friday with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Defense Department officials.

Saudi Arabia, which has been relaying messages between Washington and Tehran, previously stated it would not permit the US to utilize its airspace for any military strikes.
This diplomatic activity occurs as the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group arrives in the Middle East. President Donald Trump recently claimed this naval fleet is larger than the forces previously deployed to Venezuela.
“The current directive is to prepare,” a US official stated, suggesting that the President is rapidly approaching a final decision regarding military action.
None of the involved parties has provided public information regarding the details of these meetings.

Trump has called on Iran to reach a deal concerning its nuclear program “before it’s too late,” warning that a strike this time would be “much worse.”
The US previously bombed three Iranian nuclear sites in June 2025 during Tehran’s 12-day war with Israel. While Iran maintains its civilian nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, Western powers argue it is developing nuclear weapons. The US has also expressed grave concerns over Iran’s ballistic missile program.
These developments come amid recent unrest and protests within Iran fueled by deteriorating economic conditions and a sharp depreciation of the local currency.[]
