INDONESIA’S ULEMA: ENFORCE KHILAFAH BASED ON PROPHETIC MANHAJ

Jakarta, 15 Shawwal 1435/11 August 2014 (MINA) – Indonesia’s Ulema KH Umar Rashid said that Islamic caliphate system has to be built based on prophetic manhaj or system (nubuwwah).
He stated in his oration for Palestine solidarity and Rejecting Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in front of thousands of people near the US Embassy in Jakarta, Sunday.
“We oblige to struggle for caliphate or Islamic system with manhaj of Prophet. It can not be justified enforcing caliphate with violance,” said Umar who is alumnus of Darul Ifta, in Saudi Arabia.
Umar added, enforcing caliphate with intimidation and make mischief just tainted values, objectives and sentences of Islamic caliphate itself.
“Allah state that there are three era; Prophethood, caliphate, and kingdoms that tend to apply full of intimidation. Prophethood and caliphate are already passed with grace,” he said.
He urged all Muslims who live in the last era returns to the glory of Islam by following caliphate system based on Islamic principles or caliphate of ‘ala minhajin nubuwwah system and is not with violence.
He also added that Muslims should remain focusing on struggle for liberation of al-Aqsa mosque and Palestine from the Zionist Israeli occupation regime. It should not be affected by other issues.

Muslims attending the event come from various elements and age group such as toddlers, students, teens, until parents and elderly, men and women. They are from Jakarta and the surrounding areas. (L/B01/Syt/E01).
