HAMAS OFFICIALS VISITS INDONESIAN HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION IN GAZA

      Gaza, 14 Jumadil Akhir 1434/23 April 2013 (MINA) – Groups of Hamas officials  Monday night (21/4) visited Indonesian volunteers who are building the Hospital of Indonesia (RSI) in Gaza, Palestine. The Indonesian volunteers gave them “Warm welcome for their visit,” Muhammad Husain, one of 30 Indonesian volunteers in Gaza, said.

       The visit welcomed by 30 Indonesian volunteers who were guarding the construction of RSI in Gaza. “Seen the smiling faces of the volunteers  who are happy to welcome the arrival of the Hamas officials and we are very happy to greet them,” Husain added.

      The Group which representing Hamas movement consists of 15 officials who have a variety of professions, among others are architect, professor, vice-rector of the University of Al Aqsa, staff of health and education ministries.

      After having acquainted with each other, head of development projects of RSI in Gaza, Edy Wahyudi representing the volunteers gave a welcoming  speech to the guests. In his speech, Wahyudi said  how pleased and happy they are with the Hamas officials visit. “I am very happy and grateful for  your visit to the brothers here,” he said.

      Abu Bilal Al Ja’bir, one of the officials said he feel the same. Bilal said that their visit is a form of gratitude and thanks to the volunteers who have traveled  thousands of miles from Indonesia to help his Muslim brothers in Gaza.

       “I and all my friends also feel very grateful. We, the people of Gaza are very grateful to the volunteers from Indonesia. I am sure your presence here due to our faith relation. Therefore, despite the distance we have. We’re still close brothers in faith, ” he said emotionally.

       Bilal added that the Allah’s help for Islam is very close. This is shown by the phenomenon of Muslim countries growing with the unity. “No doubt, I can feel the unity of the Muslims nowadays,” said  the retired accountant of Islamic University of Gaza (UIG).

       Meanwhile, the group leader Suhair Abu Ahmad also expressed some points of their visit. He asserted that their visit was an official visit representing the North Gaza Hamas movement’s appreciation to the Indonesians. He also conveyed greetings from the supreme Hamas leader Ismail Haniya. “Especially we convey greetings from our leader, Ismail Haniya to the volunteers who are building this RSI,” he said.

       Conversations between the guests and the volunteers felt increasingly warmer. Especially when guests who are well-educated about the history and development of Islam in Indonesian archipelago. In addition to telling about the history of Indonesia that the guests already understood, the volunteers also presented new information about the condition of Muslims in Indonesia.

       The highlight of the visit was closed with a dinner. Guests also brought  Gazan food “syawarma”  for the  volunteers.

         Abu Bilal expressed his optimism that someday  they will be gathered by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala in the Al Aqsa Mosque as well. (T/P03/E1)
