HAMAS: MA’AN NEWS AGENCY PUBLISHES ISRAELI FABRICATIONS

Gaza, 18 Ramadan 1434/26 July 2013 (MINA) – Hamas movement has denied news alleging that some of the Muslim Brotherhood leaders moved to the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing political developments in Egypt.

The movement considered in a statement on Wednesday (24/7) that such allegations deliberately publish Israeli fabrications that aim to incite against the Palestinians and Gaza residents, Palestinian Information Center reported as monitored by MINA (Mi’raj News Agency).

It called on Ma’an news agency to demonstrate professional and ethical responsibility towards the Palestinian people.

Hamas also called on the responsible authorities in the Palestinian government to take the necessary legal action towards this agency and all those who incite against the Palestinians.

Not only that, The Palestinian government in Gaza has denounced a defamation campaign waged by Al-Arabia satellite TV against the Palestinians and their resistance, Alray Media Agency reported.

Top Palestinian official criticized the “suspicious role that Al-Arabia plays as it broadcasts fabricated reports blaming Palestinians for the current unrest in Egypt.”

He went on to say that “all the fabricated reports broadcast by Al-Arabia are based on completely false information.” He noted that the aim of such reports was to imply that the Palestinian resistance and Hamas are involved in the on-going turmoil in Egypt.

The official called for all Arab intellectuals to “expose the suspicious role that this TV (network) plays.”

Certain Egyptian and Arabic TV channels have begun a defamation campaign against Palestinians and Syrians. A number of Egyptian TV presenters have called, explicitly, for humiliating and killing them, or expelling them from Egypt.

These TV networks accuse Syrians in Egypt and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip of interfering in the Egyptian issue.(T/P03/P04)
