Arafah, MINA – Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Hudhaifi, a senior imam from the Grand Mosque in Mecca, delivered the Arafah sermon at Namirah Mosque on Tuesday, emphasizing that the Hajj pilgrimage is a sacred duty that unites Muslims as brothers and strengthens harmony, solidarity, and togetherness across the entire Muslim world.
“This is an act of worship followed by millions of pilgrims from different nations, speaking different languages, with different skin colors and homelands. It is all about brotherhood, love, and mutual benefit where honesty in words and good deeds go hand in hand,” Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi said.
He urged all Muslims to remain conscious of Allah, as true piety is the only way to salvation in the Hereafter.
“O mankind, let us fear Allah, for He alone can save us on the Day of Judgment,” he said.

The sheikh stressed that the best preparation for the afterlife is sincere worship of Allah and freeing oneself from dependence on other human beings.
“In Hajj, there are no political slogans or partisan agendas. It is pure submission to Allah, following His Prophet, and maintaining purity both inside and out,” he added.
Around 1.6 million pilgrims then performed the standing at the plain of Arafah, continuing until sunset.[]
