FARIZ MEHDAWI: PALESTINE GOT MANY PROGRESS AFTER ZIONIST ISRAELI ATTACKS

        Surabaya, 01 Rabiul Awwal 1434/13 January 2013 (MINA) –  Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Fariz Mehdawi said the Israeli attacks on Gaza several week ago has resulted many damage to Gaza, but Palestine actually got many progress from the attack.

       “There were many damage resulted from the attack, but the international support to Palestine has increased. It was proved by 141 countries all over the world who condemned Israel,” he told Mi’raj News Agency (MINA)’ reporter in Surabaya Saturday night.

        Palestinians won in mass media and diplomatic sides and got the support from many countries all over the world. The attack also made the Palestinians united.

        “Beside resulting a lot of damage, but in fact we won,” said Mehdawi.

       The Palestinian people have come to understand the importance of unity, Hamas and Fatah factions are discussing reconciliation to build closely relationship and works together to build Palestine.

       “Hamas has duty to building Gaza, as well as Fatah also has to work for Palestine,” said Mehdawi who came to Surabaya to attend Consolidation and Tabligh Akbar of Al Aqsa Haqquna.

        Addressing to Israeli election next month, Mehdawi would not expect too much for the development to Palestina. The history proved that all Israli leaders have been always hostile toward Palestinian people.

         “So far, there are no Israeli leaders who are cooperative to Palestine, in fact all of them are always harming Palestinians,” said Mehdawi.

        The important thing  of Palestinian people right now is the union to face Zionist Israel which has 6.5 millions population. While the amount of Palestinians are 2.5 millions in Jerusalem, 1.7  milions in Gaza, and 1.3 milions out of  Gaza and Jerusalem.

       “If  Israel is nowadays strong, it was mainly because being aided by America,” said Mehdawi. (T-R-025/R-006)
