Call for Restrictions on Shark Fishing in Indonesia

Tanjung Luar, MINA – Scientists are calling for restrictions on shark fishing to prevent them being wiped out from waters around Indonesia.

The demand for shark fin soup in China is endangering many species.

Generations of Indonesian fishermen have relied on them as their main source of income.

Scientists say law enforcement has been weak and more needs to be done to enforce the export ban and protect vulnerable shark species.
