Bogor Collects Rp485 Million Aid for Palestinian Refugees

Bogor, West Java, 01 Sya’ban 1437/09 May 2016 (MINA) – Community in West Java Provincial city of Bogor has successfully raised fund amounting Rp485 million during the Palestinian Care Humanitarian concert, which will be contributed to Palestinian refugees in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

Chairman of the National Committee for Palestinian People (KNRP) Erry Nugroho Himawan who organized the fund raising said that the event was held in the campus of Bogor-based Agriculture Institute of Technology (ITB) on Sunday.

“The financial aid will be immediately remitted to buy daily needs such as drinking water, medicines, cloths, meals, including school utensils,” for the Palestinian refugees, he pointed out.

According to him, some of the donators also handed over their land measuring 400 meters in Bogor District and another 150 meters in Garut District as contribution to the refugees.

In this humanitarian concert unceasing cries echoed takbir or Allah is great and Palestine, making the atmosphere even more poignant.
“Palestine, Palestine .. .. .. Free Palestine .. Allahu Akbar .. Allahu Akbar ..,” shouted the audience. (T/R07/R01)
