AL-FATTAH LAUNCHES ONLINE OPEN UNIVERSITY OF AL-QURAN

       Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, 3 Rajab 1434/12 May 2013 (MINA) – Al-Fattah Islamic Boarding School launched Online Open University of International Al-Quran of Abdellah Ibn Mas’ud on Saturday (11/5). 

      “In the name of Allah, today the Open University have been inaugurated. This is its soft launching,” Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding Schools Group Trustees President Muhyiddin Hamidy said in front of thousands of participants of the opening ceremonial at Muhajiroun, South Lampung, Indonesia.

        Hamidy said its preparation of the legality, regulations, and curriculum are being worked on.

        “We’ve formed a team to formulate all of the items, they are memorizers of Al-Quran (Hafidz), professors, doctors, masters, as well as we’ve got hundreds name of best teachers from international universities such as Palestine, Midle East and Africa, who will we choose to teach at the Online University,” he added.

       He described, like another Open University, through the campus materials of Al-Quran learning will be given to students online. Lecturers teaching remotely using the internet. Some of them are teachers from  Ma’had Daar Al-Quranul Karim Was Sunnah in Palestine.

       The Gaza-based ma’had (Islamic school) is an institution of memorizing Al-Quran that has appointed Al-Fattah as its representative in Indonesia to hold the same regular program of Al-Quran memorizing called Tajul Waqaar (Crown of Glory).

       Al-Fattah is holding the second Tajul Waqqar in Lampung  from May 7 to June 10, 2013,  which the first one was held last year in the same place.

       Tajul Waqaar (Crown of Glory) is an acceleration program of Al-Quran memorizing,  a type of fast boarding school (1-2 months) which is held during summer holiday season to memorize Al Quran. The same program is regularly held in Gaza.

     The initial students are graduates of Tajul Waqar II, which was followed by about 1,000 participants from various provinces in Indonesia, as well as from Malaysia and Africa, he said.

     The second Tajul Waqar program is the continuation of the first Tajul Waqar in the same place which was held from January 1 to February 26, 2012. Tajul Waqar I graduated 205 students memorizers of AlQuran, consists of 97 boy students and 108 girl students.

        In the second Taajul Waqaar, Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school invites specialized team of teachers from the Gazan institution.

High degree of respect and dignity

       Al-Fatah leader, KH Yakhsyallah Mansur, MA, in the opening ceremony of Tajul on Waqor II  themed “Qur’an Jailul lil Aqsa ‘Unwan” (Al Qur’an Generation as Al-Aqsa Savior) said, with the practice of the Qur’an, then we will be the people who earn a high degree of respect and dignity compared to other people.

      “Allah uplifts the faithful and the knowledgeable, that is, those who have knowledge of the Qur’an and who could implement it in the form of akhlakul karimah everyday,” said Amir of Assembly wat Tarbiyah Ta’lim Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah).

      Implementation of the Qur’an in the form akhlakul karimah, this is the main capital for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque,  Palestine, he said.

      He also quoted Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, who said that if someone wants to get the science, then let read the Qur’an, because in it there is a variety of sciences of those people who  have passed and those people who would come later (future generation).

    According to him, the target of the end of the Online Open University of Al-Quran  is producing one million memorizers Al-Quran in two years.

      “From these Quranic memorizers, we hope, will emerge generation of faithful believers who would glorify Islam and Muslims as well as could liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestine,” he said. (L/P03/E1)
