TADABBUR QURAN THE SOURCE OF HAPPINESS
Jakarta, 23 Rajab 1434 / June 2, 2013 (MINA) – The Secretary General of International Muslim Scholars Association Naseer Shaikh Al-Omar (61) said tadabbur Al-Quran is a source of happiness in the world and hereafter.
“That is because Qur’an is the guidance of Allah, the source of knowledge and the light of truth, which make it a source of happiness,” he told in a programe themed “Indonesia Contemplate Al Qor’an” at e Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, Sunday (2/6).
“With tadabbur (contemplate) Al-Qoran, it makes our belief stronger, increasing the love to Allah and make our heart pure,” said the chairman of the Institute of Tadabbur Quran International.
He emphasized, tadabbur means reciting Quran and think about the meaning and the content as the basis of daily practice.
“People who do tadabbur, then automatically he hate to do immoral and away from munkar(falsehood),” said the cleric from Saudi Arabia in front of around ten thousands of audiens.
He also warned that if Muslims are reluctant and forget to tadabbur Qur’an, Allah will neglect them and let them in misguided.
According to the author of several Islamic books, tadabbur Quran can be done by anyone.
“Tadabbur with Qur’an must not only be done by a scholar, but can be done by anyone who is serious to Quran,” he said.
Ramadan’s Practice
Shaykh Al-Omar said, reciting and tadabbur is noble in the glorious deeds of Ramadan which will come soon .
According to the author of Spirit Worship Increasing Your Energy (2007), with Al-Quran, our hearts will find satisfaction, harmonious family, and avoid evils.
“When you read Quran with your heart you will find satisfaction, increase our faith, morality, then it means we’ve tadabur the Quran,” he said.
There are also some clerics who gave lectures at the event, among of them are Religious Affairs Minister of Republic of Indonesia, Suryadharma Ali, Chairman Daarul Quran Ustadz Yusuf Mansur, Chairman Ar-Rahman Qur’anic Learning Center (AQL) Ustadz Bakhtiar Nasir and Vice-Chairman MIUMI Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin.
