IDB TO FUND CONSTRUCTIONS IN BENGKULU

Jakarta, 6 Jumadil Akhir 1436/26 March 2015 (MINA) – Ibrahim Ali Shoukry, The  Representative President Director of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for Indonesia, expressed his interest in participating to fund some development projects in the province of Bengkulu.

“The financing of infrastructure and housing development will be managed by the government and private companies,” Ibrahim Ali Shoukry said in a meeting with the CEO of Bengkulu Bank, Wimran Ismaun and the Chairman of Bengkulu Chamber of Commerce, Fery Rizal in Jakarta, Thursday.

According to Ibrahim, IDB opened representative in Indonesia because the country has good potential as well as the majority of its population are Muslims.

“IDB as Islamic banks concerns to improve economic welfare in Indonesia,” said Ibrahim.

During the meeting, Wimran Ismaun said, the government of Bengkulu is now developing infrastructure of roads, bridges and ports through state budget.

Special for housing construction, they need budget around Rp 300 billion.

“We hope IDB could fund the construction through loans,” said Wimran Ismaun.

The Bengkulu Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Fery Rizal told, he will follow up the meeting with real actions. (L/P008/R03)
