PRESIDENT HADI STRESSES YEMEN’S POSITIONS SUPPORTING PALESTINE
San’a, 10 Rabiul Akhir 1434/20 FebruarY 2013 (MINA) – President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met on Tuesday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, currently visiting Yemen.
During the meeting, President Hadi welcomed President Abbas and his entourage and stressed that Yemen’s positions support the Palestinian people and provide all possible support and assistance to their efforts to establish their independent state.
Hadi and Abbas addressed cooperation relations between the two countries as well as ways to develop them in several fields.
Abbas briefed Hadi on the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinians and their holy sites in addition to the illegal settlement activities and the severe conditions of Palestinian prisoners.
The two Arab leaders also reviewed a number of issues related to current developments at the level of Yemen and Palestinian arenas.
The Palestinian president wished President Hadi success in his efforts to get Yemen out of the crisis and the difficult circumstances to safety.
President Mahmoud Abbas discussed bilateral relations, Palestinian reconciliation and Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people with the Yemeni president, according to Palestinian news agency, Wafa reports monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Wednesday.
Abbas, who is joined by his spokesman Nabil Abu Rdaineh, PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki and diplomatic adviser Majdi al-Khalidi, also met with Yemen’s foreign minister, Abu-Bakr Al-Qirbi. (T/P015/E1).
