Israel to Build 805 Illegal Settlements in Al-Quds
Al-Quds, MINA – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh on Tuesday urged international community to pressure Israel’s colonialist which were in conflict with international consensus.
“Laws and resolutions regard East Jerusalem as part of Palestinian territories occupied since June 1967,” he said as quoted from Wafa, Thursday.
He criticized Israel’s plan to build 805 new settler units in occupied Al-Quds (East Jerusalem), coupled with the ongoing attacks on Palestinian Muslim worshipers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque complex reflected Israel’s colonialist mindset, and its efforts to consolidate fait accompli situations and destroy the peace process opportunities.
He also noted that it was not enough for international community to issue a statement condemning Israel’s violations and actions, but needed to take concrete action.
He called on all countries around the world to save two-state solution destroyed by Israel through the recognition of Palestinian State on the basis of 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital.
He also warned of Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank. (T/Sj/P2)
