Maroco Plans to Set Up Field Hospital in Gaza
Rabat, MINA – The Kingdom of Morocco announced Saturday that it will set up a field hospital in the Gaza Strip to help treat mounting casualties among Palestinian demonstrators currently arrayed along the Gaza-Israel border, UNA reported.
A statement from the Foreign Ministry said that King Mohammed VI ordered the immediate setting up of a Moroccan field hospital in the Gaza Strip, which will include medical staff from the armed forces as well as Moroccan civilian doctors and paramedics.
Through this humanitarian initiative, in coordination with the Palestinian authorities, Morocco will help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians, resulting from the several weeks of Israeli aggression that the Kingdom strongly condemns.
Israeli forces have killed more than 100 demonstrators and wounded around 12,300 others since the beginning of protests, dubbed the “Great March of Return” on March 30.(R/R04/RS5)
