Zionist Israeli Regime’s US-Made F-16 Warplane Engines Stolen

Jakarta, 23 Muharram 1434/7 December 2012 (MINA) – Israeli media say unknown thieves have stolen several US-made engines for Israeli F-16 warplanes from an airbase in the central occupied territories.

The media reported on Thursday that preliminary findings from police investigation indicated that either military or civilian personnel within the airbase might have assisted the thieves, according to a report published in http://www.islamicinvitationturkey.com/, received by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), here Friday.

The Israeli military suspected that the engines might have been stolen to be sold as scrap metal, the media said. However, it is still unclear when the thefts took place and no suspects have been arrested so far.

Israeli sources said that official reports on the investigation into the matter would be sent to the military prosecutor. The sources have refused to further comment on the issue.

In a similar incident last year, the Israeli military police conducted an investigation after parts for F-15 and F-16 warplanes belonging to an airbase near Tel Aviv were found when police searched a warehouse used by scrap metal merchants. (T/R-011/R-006).
