US has to confirm Iran’s Capture of American Drone Sooner Or Later

Teheran, 22 Muharram 1434/7 December 2012 (IRNA/MINA) – An official of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Thursday that the US military officials will have to confirm, sooner or later, that the drone captured by Iran two days ago belongs to them.

Head of the IRGC Public Relations Department Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif made the remarks in reaction to the US claims that the spying drone captured by Iran does not belong to the United States.

When commanders of the US Navy rejected holding such a drone, another US official announced that the Iranian state TV has broadcast the images of that drone, Sharif said.

He then stressed that such contradictory statements made by the US military officials means that the issue has to be considered.

The IRGC officials further advised the US officials to carefully count their drones once again.

They made such claims while Iran captured another US drone, RQ-170, last year, he added.

The IRGC’s measure to capture the US drone that was a ScanEagle brought victory for the Islamic Revolution and humiliation for the US, Sharif noted. (T/R-011/R-006).
