US IN A SHAKY SITUATION: “WAR FOR INSTALLING PUPPETS BOUNDS TO FAIL”

by: Syarif Hidayat*

The US-the renowned world preacher of human rights and democracy is now in an uncertain and insecure situations because “The War on Terror” and “The War for Installing Puppet regimes” only create more enemies of the US around the world.

War is always a quick road to peace. Want a League of Nations? Start World War I. Want a United Nations? Start World War II. Want a New World Order? Start a religious war in the Middle East. – Peter Goodgame in his article “America is falling Into An Illuminati Trap.”

But George W Bush failed in all of his missions: Aside from his success in vendetta-style murdering Iraqi dictator with the help of the puppet regime there, the world dictator GW Bush failed in all of his missions: “WAR on TERROR” (a tragic but deadly joke created by Neocons, CIA and might be assisted by Mossad), to achieve PEACE and to apply the New World Order (could be a NeoCons designed ‘order’, through wrongful wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). He also could not find the Iraqi WMDs because Iraq has none.

Despite that, the US forces have been using all kind of WMDs against Iraq to hunt for Iraqi WMDs and destroying most of the important Iraqi infrastructures as well as killing almost two million innocent Iraqi civilians including old men, women, children and babies.

G.W. Bush failed in all of his missions. The Texas cowboy got the flying stinking shoes aimed at his head instead!

Baghdad, March 2003, George W Bush  stood side by side with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to field some questions. An Iraqi reporter called George W. Bush a “dog” in Arabic and threw his shoes at him. GW Bush was on his feet, for sure: He displayed some quick defensive reflexes when a journalist shouted in Arabic — “This is a gift from the Iraqis; this is the farewell kiss, you dog” — and hurled one of his shoes at the American president. Bush narrowly avoided being hit.  The shoes missed their target about 15 feet (4.5 metres) away. One sailed over Bush’s head as he stood next to Maliki and smacked into the wall behind him. Bush smiled uncomfortably and Maliki looked strained.

“It doesn’t bother me,” Bush said, urging everyone to calm down as a ruckus broke out in the conference room. Iraqi security officers and US secret service agents leapt at the man and dragged him struggling and screaming out of the room where Bush was giving a news conference with Nuri al-Maliki.

There is no peace achieved yet in Iraq. After the US-led western forces invasion, the suicide bombings around Iraq have even increasing in number of incidents and number of victims. In Afghanistan, the situation is very much the same, the US-led NATO forces are still struggling to contain Taliban fighters random but deadly attacks against those western forces.

Barack Obama has made no efforts to stop these disgraceful wars and the failed missions of those democratization wars that actually have been destroying democracy because every US-led invasion is always followed by the installation of puppet regimes in the invaded countries. Obama has made those wars even worse for the targeted countries with his deadly drone strikes that have killed many innocent people including old men, women, children and babies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

 THE TRUE FACE

Under the guise of hypocritical declarations of “war of Liberation” to liberate Iraq from the West so-called Dictator Saddam Hussein that turned out to be the killing of millions of  Iraqi people indiscriminately, “war to hunt for Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda and Talibans” in Afghanistan that turned out to be the killing of hundreds of thousands of Afghan people indiscriminately and the “humanitarian” war to “save” the Libyan people from the West so-called Dictator Gaddafi that turned out to be the killing of hundreds of Libyan people indiscriminately as well as the Zionist and US-led imperialists covert operation in Syria, the U.S-led western civilization regimes were in fact aiming to occupy Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya and gain control of the world oil reserves and international oil trade as well as dominate the whole Middle East and Africa by their military powers (and ultimately the whole world).  Either Syria or Iran could be the next!

The people in the corridors of Power in Washington and the US-led western civilization regimes leaders are awfully silent about millions of innocent people including old men, women, children and babies who were and are being killed by their war machines in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Somalia in their so-called War on Terror as well as in their covert operations in Syria … and the worst thing is that they merely call those innocent victims as collateral damages.

The US-led western regimes “War on Terror” (that is actually the US war for oil and hegemony in he world) buries all presumption of innocent. This could mean that the US-led western regimes forces have been and are killing many innocent people including old men, women, children and babies in the Muslim countries freely at will!

But when a few of their men killed, they would make noises around the world including forcing the UN to make a resolution to apply a severe punitive economic sanction or launch an allied western military action against the country where the accident took place by deploying all kind of deadly war machines to terrorize the people of that country and hunt the culprits. If they couldn’t find the real culprits, it is almost certain they would produce scapegoats and send them to the infamous US Guantanamo Torture camp.

The Role of Western Media Circus Bias

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the West. Nevertheless, the West has many stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam that are due to: the media, Prejudice, and Ignorance. Islam is often looked upon as a “extremist”, “terrorist”, or “fundamental” religion. Many people hate Islam and do not want to acknowledge its true teachings.

The Western mainstream media circus apply a policy of controlled news reporting on their domestic problems and at the same time they apply the lies and biased news reporting on international affairs especially on Islam, the Muslim World, the Middle East Conflict and international terrorism.

The Zionist-controlled Western Media circus‘ biased news reporting on the Muslim World, the Middle East conflict and international terrorism create fear and xenophobia. This situation leads to more xenophobia including Islamophobia in the US and the other Western Countries that influence not only the general public but also the government officials in the individual western countries.

In many cases, the western media’s reports about Islam are incorrect due to ignorance. This is one of the reasons why the West often hates Islam.  In contrast to what many Westerners think of Islam, Islam is a peaceful religion, which does not promote any injustice or crime. Stereotypes about Islam are not new to Western culture. Problems can be traced back 1400 years. At that time, Islam and Christianity were involved in the Crusades in the 1100’s and in the Ottoman and Moorish control in Europe. Islam spread quickly to the West, and started to threaten the position of the Christian Church and the ruling class.

The Western elites, mainly the governments and the churches, then became highly involved in seeing that negative images were presented about Islam. As a result, not only were battles fought against Islam, but also a war of words was initiated to make sure that Islam would not have any converts or sympathizers in the West. These kinds of actions and feelings that the West had long ago still seem to be the case in the West today.

Today, the West, with little or no understanding of Islamic history, has identified a new enemy, “a new demon that has replaced the Red menace of the Cold war, i.e., radical Islam”. This “radical Islam”, a stereotype common to Western thought, portrays Muslims as fundamentalists or potential terrorists. Some of these ideas that the Western people have about Islam are due to the mass media of the West. Reporters who cover the Muslim world often know very little details about it. The media then develops a distorted image of Islam that Western culture adopts.

A major factor which contributes to Islamic stereotyping in the West is due to the media’s ignorance of selecting their words that describe Muslims. Some common names heard or seen in the news about Muslims are “extremist” or “terrorist”. These words are misleading and are mainly anti-Islamic. The media rarely uses more neutral terms such as “revivalist” or “progressives”. The Western media also creates the idea that Muslims are “returning” to Islam. This is not true in most cases, because many Muslims have never left Islam in the first place. Islam has always been a big part of their lives.

USA IN A PRECARIOUS SITUATION

Brig Asif Haroon Raja* in his article titled “USA IN A PRECARIOUS SITUATION,” says while George W Bush led regime of neo-cons had initiated the insane war on the pretext of 9/11 attacks, Obama administration took no steps to wind down the war after taking over in January 2009 by which time the futility of war and hidden motives had been exposed. Rather, the Democrats accelerated the war and introduced drone war to further fuel terrorism.

Under the cover of war on terror, the hidden motives of the US and its western allies were to undermine Islam, kill as many extremist Muslims averse to American policies and western way of life, steal the resources of Muslim world, remove radical Muslim governments and replace them with secular pro-America regimes and redraw the boundaries of Middle East.

Apart from physical wars to replace the regimes of Afghanistan, Iraq and later of Libya and installing puppet regimes, the US gave a free hand to CIA, FBI and US-NATO forces to terrorize and eliminate the so-called irreconcilables. They were given license to kill without any fear of accountability.

Black water, security contractors and kill teams were part of the team. Scores of secret torture cells were established all over the globe including most infamous Guantanamo Bay, Bagram and Abu Gharib Jails where suspects were locked up for years without any recourse to legal counsel. Indefinite detention without charge or trial, as well as the illegal military commissions were justified and declared as legal.

CIA Detention Centers

CIA operated secret detention centres including Guantanamo Bay are still in operation despite Obama’s election campaign promises. Besides third degree torture, most horrible water boarding method is also used to even make the innocent ones agree to the crime they had not committed.

While Bush regime had made use of drones prudently, Obama administration wanting to win the war with drones went berserk. Now even US citizens are not safe from drones and secret dungeons. They are subjected to warrant-less eavesdropping, the Patriot Act, and new restrictions have been imposed on the release of indefinitely held detainees.

In October 2012, ‘disposition matrix’ was administered to determine how terrorism suspects would be disposed of. The US is killing its own people and locking them up outside the traditional judicial system in an unforgivable manner. Such oppressive policies are likely to persist for at least another decade.

Having backed Northern Alliance with massive airpower to oust Taliban regime in November 2001, the US then began to expand, train and equip ANSF and invested billions of dollars to enable them to conduct counter-terrorism independently and also take over security of Afghanistan at an appropriate time.

Karzai regime mostly comprising members of non-Pashtun Northern Alliance Tajik and Uzbek warlords was patronized and rewarded while the majority Pashtun community was sidelined and persecuted. This unfair and biased policy was adopted much against the advice rendered by Pakistan.

US-led NATO is faced with dilemma

Resultantly the entire lot of Pashtun community developed acute detestation against USA and started joining the Taliban. Support to Karzai continued despite his total failure to control incompetence, mis-governance and corruption and his writ getting shrunk to Kabul.

Till recent, the ISAF commanders cribbed about the lack of efficiency and indiscipline of ANSF, but now the US-NATO is faced with another dilemma of insiders attacks and that too at a time when handing over of security duties to ANSF is half-way through and occupying forces have started thinning out. Taliban have managed to infiltrate rank and file of ANSF.

Cases of green-on-blue attacks are on the increase and so are cases of suicides within US Army (349 in 2012). Reasons behind inside attacks are cultural differences, haughty and cynical attitude of foreign soldiers, civilian casualties in air/drone attacks, and possibly US secret parleys with Taliban.

Flabbergasted by this new development for which the Pentagon has no remedy except to caution its troops to take added precautionary measures, the frustrated US officials are now heard saying that the “War on Terror” will continue ad infinitum.

Nonplussed by this strange phenomenon of Afghan soldiers attacking US troops with growing regularity, they cannot reconcile as to why the Afghan soldiers subsisting on US aid and receiving advanced training from US-NATO trainers have turned against their benefactors.

Chickens have come home to roost

People like Matthew Rosenberg and many in the US government have begun to realize the reality that the ‘people end up disliking those who occupy and bomb their country’. Chickens have come home to its roost.

This kind of stabbing in the back by the beneficiaries was bound to happen in the wake of policy of oppression adopted by occupying troops, completely disregarding civilian casualties.

That day is not far when the drone operators in Langley might be striking US targets. USA is the only country in the world where 99% are poor and only 1% dirty rich. The elite class in USA is still not prepared to wind up the bloody war which has destabilized world order since the war is fetching the drug, arms and trade merchants’ huge profits.

The surge in inside attacks as well as Taliban attacks in 2012 is a clear indication that Afghan bitterness of foreigners has greatly heightened. It is becoming exceedingly difficult for the US trainers to continue imparting training lessons to ANA and training process has been disrupted.

But the US is also mindful of the fact that the training mission is the central part of the American withdrawal plan for 2014. Lots of senior coalition and Afghan officials are now opining that after nearly 12 years of war, majority of Afghans irrespective of their sect and ethnicity view the foreigners as infidels illegally occupying their country and abhor them. Irrespective of the sharpened divide between the Pashtun and non-Pashtun Afghans, a great percentage of Afghans want to drive out the occupiers.

It is an established fact that the US and its western allies governed by mercantile and strategic motives started the war on terror to eliminate terrorism but its unjust vendetta which took lives of millions of Muslims fueled terrorism. Invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq were not unintended slip-ups but intentional.

The war mongers didn’t expect in their wildest imaginations that equipped with best weaponry and technology, the war would become the longest in modern history and the poorly equipped opponents would fight them so doggedly.

Rather than the resistance forces getting pooped of resources and stamina, the resource-heavy invaders have become whacked and are faced with financial crunch. Drenched in the pool of greed of power and wealth the US justified its unjust policies of aggression and militarism by creating the subterfuge of terrorism, which it projected as a threat to world peace.

USA is digging its own grave in Afghanistan

Drunk with power, it didn’t realize that it was not only digging its own grave but also making the world more unsafe because of its atrocious acts.

Today the back of mighty USA is against the wall and is left with no cards to bargain with Taliban. It is forced to seek the help of Pakistan which it has all along been mistrusting, humiliating and harassing.

However, despite its precarious situation, the US expressed its displeasure over Pakistan’s decision to hand over operation of Gawadar seaport to China and has also cautioned Pakistan not to go ahead with Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project otherwise sanctions will be imposed. It is unhappy over All Parties Conference of Pakistan’s decision to negotiate with TTP.

It has not taken any steps to expedite repatriation of absconders Fazlullah and Faqir Muhammad residing in Afghanistan or to restrain India from meddling in Balochistan and FATA. It ignores Hindu terrorism even after Indian government making a confession.

In an attempt to create bad blood between the Army and people of FATA and to disrupt materialization of peace deal, New York Times has come out with a bizarre story that Pakistan Army fired drones in North Waziristan in February 2013.

This disjointed approach speaks of a warped mind.

Now looking at the facts, it is evident that US has gone blind to the realities that are and would cost heavily the American people, Brig Asif Haroon Raja concludes his analysis.
