SHAMSI ALI: ISRAEL MUST RETURN THE PALESTINIAN RIGHTS
Jakarta, 15 Jumadil Awwal 1434/26 March 2013 (MINA) – The chairman and Imam Masjid of Al Hikmah, Astoria, United States, Muhammad Ali Shamsi said that Israel should recognize Palestine as a sovereign state, and restore their rights of Palestinian people who have been taken by force, such as the land, public facilities as well as their independence.
“Israel should recognize Palestine as a sovereign state, and restore the rights of the Palestinian people that they have forcibly seized,” Ali, the man from Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, Indonesia told Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) on Sunday (24/3).
On the occasion, the man who now has five children revealed his longing for the independence of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Muslims want to see his Palestinian brothers to gain its independence as perceived by mankind in another part of the world.
“Muslims all around the world must have a desire to see Palestinian people to live in security and peace like other Muslims,” said Ali.
One of the influential figures in the U.S. who’ve ever been to Palestine confirmed, the other dream of Muslims which no less important is the desire to be able to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The mosque is now under the Israeli government’s control. They implemented strict rules against Muslims who are going to perform their prayers there.
“I’ve been to Ramallah, Palestine. I heard they said that the dreams of the Palestinian people and also other Muslims are their longing to be able to pray at Al Aqsa mosque because it is one of the noblest specifically mentioned in the Muslim holy book and it has historical value in the form of the prophets relic, “said Ali.
The Palestinians also want to have freedom to be able to visit their families in other areas in Palestine. Currently, the Israeli government made the separation wall in the Palestinian territories and Palestinian people have to pass it by strict inspection to pass trhough the barriers.
“The Palestinian e want to be able to meet with his brothers in Gaza, West Bank and other territories in Palestine. Right now, Palestinians lost their freedom to be able to visit their families out of places, “said the man who graduated his master in Pakistan.
His arrival to Indonesia is in the frame of Safari Da’wah sponsored by Dompet Dhuafa. He is scheduled to visit Minang, West Sumatra, on Monday (25/3). The aim is to share his knowledge and experience about his da’wah in the US for more than 16 years.
Ismail as director of Dompet Dhuafa stated that he plans to establish an Islamic center in US in order to provide enlightenment to Americans who want to learn Islam and sympathize the converts there. (L/P04/P015/P02/P03)
