Saudi King Orders Creation of ‘King Salman Complex’ for Prophet’s Hadith

Dubai, MINA – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has issued a royal decree ordering the creation of the “King Salman Complex,” for the Prophet’s Hadith, in the city of Madinah, state news agency SPA reported Wednesday.

The royal order added that the complex would have a council of the world’s elite scholars of Hadith, while the president and members will be appointed by a royal decree.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hassan Al-Sheikh was appointed as the chairman of the Senior Scholars Council.

Muslims believe the Prophet’s Sunnah is the second source of “Islamic legislation” after the Qur’an – presenting them with guidance on how they should lead their lives. (T/RS5/RS1)
