Jakarta, 8 Muharram 1436 H /1 November 2014 M (MINA) – Author of “Jew versus the Caliphate”, Uray Helwan Rusli said the dispute that occurred among Muhammad’s PBUH friends at the time of Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib reflected the importance of unity and obedience to the leader.

“What happens among Muhammad’s PBUH friends should not be seen as slander but we can take a lesson about the importance of obedience and unity among Muslims,” said Uray in book review event held by the Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) on Saturday.

Uray explained, the Muhammad’s PBUH friends involved in the dispute, eventually were aware of their mistake. “Aisyah eventually regrets her confrontation with Ali. While Ali was also sorry for his attitude toward Aisyah. In the end, the Muhammad’s PBUH friends died in a state of khusnul khatimah,” said Uray.

The activist who graduated from Magister of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) did not agree with some of contemporary history writers who blame some of the Muhammad’s PBUH friends over the dispute.

“We should take a lesson about importance of obedience to the leader, in the case of the caliph,” he explained.

The social activist stated, in facing the Jews, Muslims required the Caliphate institution such as practiced by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and his friends.
