Bandung, MINA – Persib Bandung, one step away from becoming the 2025/26 BRI Super League champion, hosted Persijap Jepara in the final match of the season at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Bojan Hodak’s men only needed a draw against Kalinyamat Troops. A point would be enough for the Blue Prince to lift the trophy in Bandung. A draw would guarantee Persib their third consecutive title, even if Borneo FC wins their other match at the same time.

However, Kalinyamat Troops could ruin Persib’s home win if they can secure all three points.

The first half was a tight affair. The home team’s first attempt came from Thom Haye (33) in the 5th minute. However, his shot from outside the penalty area went over the bar.

While Persib and Persijap were still tied in the 20th minute, Borneo FC had already taken a 3-0 lead over Malut United in another match. This meant that Maung Bandung’s title chances were far from secure.

In the 26th minute, Persib’s best chance came when Thom Haye’s ginger shot found Federico Barba in front of goal. However, Barba’s header failed to reach the target.

A few minutes later, Thom Haye’s pass found Adam Alis (18). Alis controlled the ball and tapped it past goalkeeper Muhammad Ardiansyah (1). However, Ardiansyah made a perfect save, denying Adam Alis’s goal.

For the second time, goalkeeper Ardiansyah made a brilliant save, parrying Adam Alis’s shot from outside the penalty box. Ardiansyah leaped perfectly, prompting Adam Alis to scream in emotion at his failure.

While Persib struggled to break through Laskar Kalinyamat’s goal, Borneo FC was already leading Malut United 4-0.

In the 43rd minute, the home crowd, packed on all sides, became tense when a Persijab player managed to penetrate the goal from the left flank. However, Rendi Saepul (21) failed to win the duel against goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam (14). Rendi’s close-range shot hit Teja’s body.

The score remained 0-0 at halftime, with Borneo winning 4-0 against Malut United. []
