Palestinians Call for Uprising to Continue against Israel

Palestinians call ‘days of rage’ over US Jerusalem move.

Gaza, MINA – A number of Palestinian factions called Thursday for continuation of the popular uprising against the Israeli occupation in an act of retaliation over recent hostilities committed by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people and religious sanctities.

The uprising must continue and develop into a “daily lifestyle”, KUNA reported, citing the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in a press statement.

It should also use all types, forms, and methods of resistance, it said, describing such an action as a “successful option” in mobilizing the Palestinian people’s potentials to attain the national goals and spoil the occupation’s project on all domains.

Last night, the Israeli forces killed a Palestinian youngster and destroyed a number of houses in the city of Jenin in the West Bank during an armed confrontation with several Palestinian youth in the city, noted PFLP.

The “battle of Jenin” will revive the Palestinian fighters once again and take them to battleground to defend their national cause, it affirmed.

For his part, Talal Abu Zarifa, member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), indicated that Palestinian youngsters’ confrontation with the Israeli forces in Jenin was a “natural reaction” to the occupation’s continued policy of arresting civilians and storming Palestinian cities.

The Palestinian people has the right to adopt all forms of revolution approved by international charters and resolutions to face the Israeli occupation’s crimes, Abu Zarifa said.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Movement spokesman Davoud Shahab affirmed that the Jenin incident proved the Palestinian youth’s valor in facing the atrocities of the Israeli soldiers.

The Palestinian youngsters will not retreat and surrender from defending their land’s sanctities, territories, and people, Shahab said, adding that such an “epic” is a stepping stone for boosting the popular uprising.

For his part, Hamas spokesman Abdullatif Al-Qanoua urged the Palestinian authority to implement the Palestinian Central Council’s resolution practically by halting security coordination with the Israeli occupation authorities.
