MALAYSIAN STUDENTS VISIT INDONESIAN ALFATAH COLLEGE

         Bogor, 22 Safar 1435 / 25 December 2013 ( MINA ) – The chairman of University of Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA), Wan wan Ismail bin Abdullah said one of Muslim Youths role in Islamic struggle (jihad) is through the strength of their knowledge.

        “How can we fight to continue the dakwah if Muslim youths lack and poor of knowledge. So, it becomes an obligation to all Muslim youths to seek knowledge as much as possible, ” Wan wan Ismail bin Abdullah said during the Study Tour to Al – Fatah college (STAI), Bogor, Tuesday evening.

        Ismail also appealed to the youths not to give up in facing obstacles. “Every struggle will face obstacles, we must not give up in the process of dakwah,” he told Mi’raj News Agency (MINA)’s reporter.

       He told, the development of Islamic education in Malaysia has been increasing well. Many parents let their children get into religious schools to provide them Islamic education.

       He expected the relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia in student exchanges will be going well because the both countries have good system of religious teachings. “Hopefully, this visit will strengthen relations between the two countries. We have the same religion, culture and live in the same region (Southeast Asia),” Ismail added.

       On the same occasion , Chairman of STAI al- Fatah college, Wahyudi KS said, Indonesia and Malaysia are countries with Muslim majority.  It cannot be separated by ethnic and cultural differences. “We are all brothers and sisters,” he said.

       There are 47 students of UNISZA who visit STAI al Fatah college. They consist of students and lecturers. It is the third visit of this kind to Indonesia. (T/P04/E1)
