JORDAN CONDEMNS FEIGLIN’S ENTRY INTO AL AQSA

        Amman, 24 Rabiul Akhir 1434/6 March 2013 (MINA) – The Jordanian  Minister of Religious Affairs and Holy Islamic Sites, Abdul Salam Abbadi, condemed the inclusion of an Israeli Knesset member, who is also the chairman of Manhigut Yehudit, Moshe Feiglin, into the Al-Aqsa mosque on Monday (4/3).
        Abbadi called on the Muslim world, the Arab League, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations, UNESCO and other international organizations to stop Israeli provocations against Islam and all peace lovers, Alray.ps reported as monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Wednesday.

       Abbadi outcry about Feiglin was followed after the incident on Sunday (3/3) in which an Israeli soldier was tarnishing the Quran by kicking and stepping it on the Al Aqsa Mosque.
       Meanwhile, Israeli police spokesman Luba Samir said that Moshe Feiglin has reached Al-Aqsa and Dome of the Rock . He was there as a Knesset member.
       However, the security guards, youths and students prevented his entry. There was an accidents between the two sides. But there were no reports of casualties.
       According to Al-Aqsa Foundation waqf, since the beginning of 2012, the invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Jews reached 4,700 people, plus the arrival of the tourists of nearly 220,000 people, and 3250 Israeli soldiers.

       “Today,  Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger. It is because the increasingly widespread escalation of Israely invasion, defamation actions from Jews, Jewish organizations, Zionist soldiers and foreign tourists. They want to perform Talmudic rituals in the mosque area,” the Aqsa official stated.
       Moshe Zalman Feiglin was born on July 31, 1962. He is an Israeli politician, Knesset member, and chairman of  Manhigut Yehudit, the wing of Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu. Feiglin won Knesset seats in Israel for the first time in the elections which was held on January 22, 2013 ago. Feiglin is a major supporter of Israel’s Arab minority revocation of citizenship, except for those who have proven their loyalty to Israel and encourage non-Jews to emigrate.

       In October 2012, Feiglin create a provocation to the Jews to attack the Aqsa Mosque. In his statement, he wanted to completely destroy the mosque and replace it immediately with the synagogue.
        On August 8, 1995, Feiglin blocked 80 access road to Palestine. It is a violation of Oslo agreement which stated the opening access to the main roads of Palestine. Because of his action, Feiglin was sentenced to six months in prison in 1997 by the Supreme Court of Israel.
        In November 1996, Moshe Feiglin founded Manhigut Yehudit. In 2000, he joined the Likud Party ss the largest party in Israel. Feiglin said that he would be a candidate for the chairman of the party as a springboard for the prime  minister of the State of Israel. (T/P04/E1)
