JAMA'AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) DECIDES 1 SYAWAL MONDAY

Jakarta, 29 Ramadan 1435/27 July 2014 (MINA) – Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah), the Muslims unity based in Indonesia decided the first day of Shawal 1435 on Monday, July 27.

The decision is based on the results of the observation of the new moon (rukyatul hilal) in all regions in Indonesia and surrounding countries that have seen the new moon.

” Hisab and Rukyat Council (DHR) reported that the moon is visible in some areas; Pelabuhan Ratu, Cakung (East Jakarta), Surabaya, Makassar and Pattani (Thailand). As the Prophet Muhammad PBUH guidance if someone has seen the new moon, tomorrow is 1st Syawal,” said the chairman of Al Fatah Foundation, Yakhsallah Mansur in Bogor, Sunday.

DHR team scattered in various countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Gaza, Palestine).

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs decided the first day of Shawal on Monday.

“We have heard the Director of Islamic Affairs and Sharia Development report, Muhtar Ali after receiving reports of Rukyat Team throughout Indonesia. At least nine places have seen the new moon,” said Religious Minister Lukman Hakim Syaifuddin. (L/P015/P04/E01).
