ISRAEL INITIATED MULTIPLE PROJECTS TO JUDAIZE THE AQSA MOSQUE VICINITY

       Al-Quds, 16 shaban 1434/25 June 2013 (MINA) – Israeli authorities started excavation work in three sites around Al-Aqsa mosque , the Al-Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage said.

      The digging will be in three sites : the first is in the Moroccan quarter, adjacent to the Haram Al-Sharif compound, the second is next to the Qusur Umayyad in the south of Al-Aqsa and the third is in the southern entrance of Hilwa valley, the foundation said on a statement.

      The foundation added that the work is part of Israeli plans to Judaize Palestinian neighborhoods in the old city and to connect the tunnels network under Al-Aqsa, according to Alray report monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

      The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in cooperation with Jewish societies and companies started their excavations and construction projects concurrently in three areas around the Aqsa Mosque.

       In a report released on Monday, the Aqsa foundation stated that the first construction site is on the southern side of Al-Maghariba Gate ramp, the second site is on the eastern side of the Umayyad Palaces to the south of the Aqsa Mosque and the third site is on the southern side of the entrance to Wadi Hilwa neighborhood.

       The foundation underlined that these projects are part of an ongoing Judaization plan to change the Islamic identity and landscape of the whole area around the Aqsa Mosque and to connect the tunnels network under Al-Aqsa.

       It added that the IOA and its partners aim to Judaize the vicinity of the Aqsa Mosque where there is no place for non-Jewish landmarks and to connect the tunnels and corridors beneath and around the Aqsa Mosque with each other and with other Jewish structures built by the occupation or still under construction.

        In a report,  The foundation  also put the photos for the sites show that Israel put tents all over the road and the workers took sand and remains, put them in bags and threw them away.

        According to the foundation, the remains are Islamic and must not be removed from its sites. (T/P02/E1)
