ISRAEL CLOSES INQUIRY INTO THE KILLING OF CHILDREN ON GAZA BEACH

anak-gazaGaza, 26 Sha’ban 1436/13 June 2015 (MINA) – The Israeli army announced yesterday that it has stopped investigating the killing of four children on a Gaza beach during last summer’s war. No-one has been convicted for the killings.

In a press statement the army said: “The case has been closed following a complete criminal investigation,” Middle East Media Monitor quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The Israeli Military Advocate General Danny Efroni decided to close investigations into the crimes committed during the last war in Gaza, including the killing of the four boys.

According to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, the military advocate took the decision because there was “secret evidence” which showed that Hamas was using the area to launch missiles at the time.
